Awards Night 2018…

Wedding of the year

Another summer, another Eclipse wedding…..

On Sunday 30th July Becci Leffen married Adam Skinner in Farbridge, a beautiful venue in West Sussex. The ceremony also took place on site and was accompanied by violins, a lovely surprise for our bride, Becci, from (now) husband Adam. Canapes and reception drinks were then served in the beautiful courtyard where the trees were decorated with Poloroids of family, friends and weddings before a sit down meal and the speeches. The rest of the night was spent partying away on the dance floor or playing how many we could fit into the photobooth. It was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone, Becci looked stunning in her gorgeous dress, Adam scrubbed up pretty well too!

We wish Becci and Adam all the love, luck, joy and happiness in the world !

Eclipse Wedding Bells

The summer of 2016 was the summer of love at Eclipse as two of our members tied the knot with their significant others.

First up was Rochelle Modeste who married Steven Evans on a gloriously sunny afternoon in Anerley. The ceremony took place in St Anthony of Padua Church, the ice cream van outside providing the perfect antidote to the heat. Then it was off to a field in Godstone for a full night of celebrating at their very own festival complete with teepees, food stalls, hay bales, festoon lights and a trough full of beer (plus the vital barrel of rum punch). The morning after saw a magnificent display of mind over matter as the guests bravely battled hangovers and severe sleep deprivation to leave it all out on the rounders field.

Next to take the plunge was Ruth Dempsey, who married Linval Antonio in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Selsdon golf club in Croydon. A formal sit-down meal preceded a night of sweating it out on the dancefloor, with some impressive windin and grindin from bride, groom and guests alike. The celebrations carried on the following day with a Caribbean feast at Chez Dempsey, with a special guest appearance made by the ever-delicious rum punch.

We wish both couples all the love, luck, joy, happiness and rum punch in the world (so long as they share!)

Social Partnership with OD’s Rugby Club

We’ve been given a great opportunity by Old Dunstonian Rugby Club (home of guest coach Linval and where Jenni and Ruth used to play) to join with them for social events. To start with this means we will be invited to the events they’re putting on but they’ll then split the profits with us according to attendance! We can then invite them along to things like our mixed netball tournaments.

Currently on the Agenda are the following which will be added to our events calendar:

29/10/2016 19:30 Halloween Party
19/11/2016 19:30 Race Night
10/12/2016 19:30 Xmas Party
14/01/2017 19:30 Karaoke Night
28/01/2017 19:30 Ladies Night
08/04/2017 19:30 EOS Party

Eclipse Anniversary Tour to Barbados

As we all love a bit of sun and netball fun we have decided to combine the two and run a tour to Barbados in early August 2017 – seems like the perfect way to celebrate a very successful five years together as Eclipse Netball Club! We will be going from 1st to 11th August for a 10 night trip

The tour will be open to all over 18s, and those aged between 16-17 if they are accompanied by a parent. Apologies to those who will miss out this year, your time will come!

Our supporters play a massive part in Eclipse, so any family, friends, partners who are over 18 are very welcome.

If you haven’t done so already today is the deadline so let Hannah know you want to come on what will be an epic trip!
